Teen Life Skills – Online Chatroom

Description

Your teenager will improve their ability to plan and organise their day with the help of our Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy team. He/she will get the opportunity to practise everyday skills such as working on the computer to plan and organise video calls with friends. Topics covered will include who is appropriate to call, communication skills needed to call a friend to set up a video chat and navigating the online world safely. This will be an opportunity for teens to chat together in a supervised setting.

Your teenager will improve their ability to plan and organise a hypothetical outing with the help of our Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy team, to simulate organising an outing with friends. He/she will get the opportunity to practise everyday skills such as using a computer to find information about venues/events, plan public transport, and communication skills to organise and negotiate details with friends.
