7 Reasons To Choose South West Kids Clinic
Why You'll Love Working at SWKC
Our Support Network:
Why We Are An Employer Of Choice For Allied Health Professionals In South West Sydney?
Team culture and satisfaction is a high priority at SWKC. On a quarterly basis each team member meets formally with the Director to establish individual goals surrounding your wellbeing, career progression and alignment with SWKC core values. You will develop a plan and action steps required to advance towards your goals and you are supported to reach your goals through fortnightly informal ‘catch ups’ between each alignment meeting.
Therapists meet with a clinical team leader either weekly or fortnightly (depending on experience) to discuss caseloads and gain advice for areas that are challenging. You will be guided to problem solve clinical questions related to your clients and provided with opportunities to upskill within a diverse range of clinical areas.
We are committed to ensuring that our team has access to a range of leaders within each field. We invite a number of external experts each month to lead specific education programs within the clinic. This provides therapists with exposure to a wider range of leaders to ensure that we remain abreast of the latest research and therapies.
Each month, therapists divide into clinical areas of Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy. Each group sets a monthly learning objective or topic to research. As a team, research findings are shared and the clinical application of the research is discussed.
There is so much learning that happens informally between therapists. We lean on each other for support between formal supervision sessions. Our clients are used to additional therapists observing sessions and so much is transferred in the ‘hallway conversations’.
In addition to the support available within SWKC, each team member has a budget to attend offsite training courses that are aligned with clinical goals. In addition, study leave is offered to attend additional training courses outside the budget provided.

Please send this email to melinda@southwestkidsclinic.com.au.
We will schedule a time for an informal chat to find out more about you and to give you the opportunity to ask us questions about the clinic and the position.
Rather than a formal interview, we prefer to keep things quite informal as we want to get to know you. After a brief tour of the clinic, we will sit down for a chat to find out more about your therapy style and how you might manage various clinical situations.
A formal offer is generally made after we have gotten to know you and when we feel comfortable that you would be a great fit for our team and our clinical caseload.
